In the Spring of 2014, I took a picture of my 6 year old playing the outfield for his baseball team. One of my favorite pictures of him. I love the bubblegum pose.
As a collector of T206 cards I turned it into the 49th Southern Leaguer. And no, he didn't remember playing with Foley White......
If you think "the 'stache" is hoarded, wait till they get a hold of "the bubble".
Which leads me to my memorial. My mother in law, who I absolutely loved like my own mother, passed away Saturday night. In the course of 3 weeks she got ill while on a pilgrimage to the Vatican and Israel, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of the pancreas and liver, had several strokes due to DIC, went unconscious, then finally put in hospice to die. Absolutely tragic. I just cannot understand what just happened. If anything I'm pissed because she deserved better.
A wonderful women who was a great role model to my girls and made a great daughter whom I married.
And superhella artistic.
A year ago she took a water coloring class. She asked me for some photos for her to try and paint. I gave her the one above along with some T206's.......and she gave me this.
She always found this to be imperfect and it is.....but I love it. Everything about it.
Thank you Jennifer....for everything these past 16 years. I love you and I am going to miss you so much.
And thank god you didn't pull a Bill Burns with the reverse glove crap.....
