I haven't read the entire thread and may be repeating what has already been said, but 'scraps' refers to two different antique card stock things.

1) The beat up, hand cut 'scrapped' cards-- ala T206s

and

2) the little Victorian era factory die cut pieces that were commonly pasted into album pages:

Pertaining to #2, a scrapbook filled with Victorian scraps and die cuts.


The below well known baseball card is a #2
