There were some great, enjoyable items posted in my March thread on Mickey Mantle, so I thought I'd broaden the scope a bit with this thread and see what people post. Let's see your one best (interpret how you see fit) autographed item (not your 2, 3, 4 etc. bests, and not your best from each field, just your 1 solitary best item) There are some great collections on this board. Let's see your crème de la crème.
This is mine:
The Catholic Monarchs, and two people very influential in the discovery of the Americas.
This is a document signed by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella in the Summer of 1492 as Columbus prepares to set sail for the Indies in nine days and the remaining Jews – all were expelled by edict – prepare to leave Spain within eight days.
Manuscript Document Signed “Yo el Rey” [I the King] by King Ferdinand V of Spain and “Yo la Reyna” [I the Queen] by Queen Isabella I of Spain, 1p, 8.5” x 6”. Penafiel [Spain], July 25, 1492.
