Great choices, Michael. I really like the Red Wings ring as well. I don't have the means to purchase one of these pieces of art at auction, but I can appreciate the hobby and I admire your passion for it. Although some of your threads may not get the most action, I think that's just a result of this type of collectable being "upper tier" (ie. these damn things are expensive!). And there's a reason for it... some of these rings are beautiful and carry a history with them that a card can't approach.

Here's my picks, in no particular order...

1. Another Wings example (they knew how to do rings). This one from 2008. Just the right amount of bling, and I like the franchise Cups represented on the side.

2. 2006 Pittsburgh Steelers. I like the design of the front, with the 5 football shaped diamonds. Classy.

3. 1927, Murderer's Row, the Yankees 2nd WS win, and the first time the team was given rings. I love the simple design and vintage look. Shown here is Earle Combs' example.
