I'm going to be throwing a few of my scorebooks from my collection on here in the coming days. Most of these scorebooks are interesting for the content contained within them for one reason or another (team, players, league). In most cases, they may be the only play by play record of these particular games. If interested in purchasing, my preference is either check or money order.
This first one is the scorebook of William Weart, a Philadelphia sportswriter who wrote for the local Philadelphia paper as well as The Sporting News. It contains the 1915 World Series between the Phils and the Red Sox. This would be Ruth's first WS appearance (as a pinch hitter). It covers all 5 games of the series in great detail. The balance of scored games covers 13 of the Phil's 1916 spring training games in Florida. $(sold) delivered
