Recently Bob Freedman reached out to me regarding my possible interest in an original pre-MLB debut photo of Roberto Clemente. I thanked him and explained that I was terribly interested. However such an image was currently out of my financial reach. Without prompting or request Bob made my ownership of this photo financially feasible. I have to believe that it is one of the earliest images of Roberto in his Pirate uniform. Thanks to Bob's generosity this 1955 Type I photo of 20 year-old Roberto Clemente at his first Pirate Spring Training arrived today. I am thrilled to add it to my collection. He also included a free Burke image of Cobb. Thanks Bob I am more grateful than I could possibly express with my limited vocabulary
