Well Johnny, I hope you continue to enjoy these scraps vicariously through the collections of others, and that every now and then one of your friends tosses a sympathy scrap your way
As far as "hate on something good" - I don't hate them;in fact I love them. If you remember, I wrote an article about them. I will gladly buy additional scraps if I think they are enough below the current market value that I can re-sell them at a profit. I sold my previous ones for a reason - I just wasn't in love with them enough to keep them, and I got serious bucks for every last one of them, which I used to buy other things. You are a smart guy - you understand this. Quit playing dumb

I find it ironic that you personally had such a huge part in destroying your own ability to collect something you love. You talked so much about them that you convinced your friends who had cash, and now you're kind of out of the game.
For your sake, given how much you wish you could afford to buy some, I wish the market price had stayed low. I'm sure you miss those days. Me - I sold all of mine, so obviously I wasn't quite so in love with them as you. That makes them a commodity in my mind, and that's still how I look at them.
In 1983 I could have bought a T206 Wagner for well under $50,000. I didn't. I regret it. Scraps - not so much.
Good luck, Johnny. I hope you get over being scrap poor and assuming everyone else feels the same way.
