Bingo. I work for a "Friends of the Library" organization and occasionally we will get a book written by a famous person with a gift inscription by a person who just happens to have the same first name.
The funniest one was a "Hilary" (one L) who gifted a Hillary (two L's) Clinton book to someone named Nancy and wrote a nice inscription on the title page. One of our volunteers got all excited until I pointed this out, then showed her the cover, which had a printed version of Clinton's signature on it and the handwriting wasn't even close.
