Rube's other brother Johnson Foster, I can't find him after the 1900 census, but ran across an interesting article today in the April 12, 1907 Yakima Herald, that mentioned First Baseman J Foster of the Yakima Black Stockings. It seemed strange, so many Foster's in the world and all. I would have dismissed it as a peculiarity, but Rube's half-brother Willie Foster founded another black baseball team in Yakima Valley, the Washington Browns in 1937.
