And when he passed Wagner on the All Time Hits list it was tough not to be amazed at what he has accomplished. Wagner's lifetime batting average was 20 points higher than Jeter's in an era where hitting 400 was common. Era for Era player for player Jeter is clearly one of the all time greats and we were all very lucky to see him play these last 20 years.
