Yes - there is definitely an element of difficulty that comes from what you want to pay for the grade (I had a couple opportunities to knock off the last few toughies, but for a price higher than I wanted to spring, so I waited...for several years...
)
Even several of the less-talked-about Red Sox commons are tough in this set - like Thomas, Engle, and Carrigan.
And other tough/expensive cards are Joe Wood and Eddie Cicotte:
