Thanks, David. I posted prematurely, but it's still probably okay to get such discussions going. In any event, it helped me, as I will no longer be as apprehensive about large Gehrigs.
I'm still keeping my eyes open for a 'Ruth/Gehrig' signed ball, but it will probably take even longer than it did for me to purchase my first Ruth flat. Still haven't been brave enough to win a Gehrig, although I've put in fair bids on a few.
