Default SOLD: Early 1900s Pittsburgh metal tab

This item has me stumped. It comes from a very large collection I am selling for an elderly friend who was active in the hobby for more than three decades. It was housed in a cardboard coin holder with the writing:

Pittsburgh
Players Brand
Tobacco Tag
Circa 1900

As you can see, the metal tab pictures a baseball player with "Pittsburgh" printed on the bottom edge. The back has no identifying marks. There are two "prongs" on the top and bottom for affixing to a collar or some other article of clothing (or hat, I suppose). Why this was identified as a Players Brand item, I do not know.

Price is $xxx delivered within the United States.

PayPal is fine. No need to "gift" your payment.

A commitment to buy takes precedence over an ongoing negotiation.

Feel free to email any questions.

Thanks,

Rob
