Default Looking to trade '89 & 90 Topps for '86 Topps set

This is probably a long shot because postage is more than the price of the cards. However, if there is anyone interested who is within driving distance of Pittsburgh, I would be willing to make the trip.

In my recent purchases of modern sets (trying to eventually get all of the Topps baseball issues 52-current), I somehow ended up with 2 from '89 and 2 from '90 but without a 1986.

I posted the two on my local Craig's List as both for $15. Unfortunately, it looks like that might be too high of a price. My local card store has an '86 well over priced at $24.99. I attempted to make the trade with him, but he laughed it off and said that he has tons of '89 and '90 sets and can't get rid of them. So, I decided to try to sell on Craig's list 2 for $15, and then hopefully he will take $15 on the '86. If he takes $20, I will throw in the $5 extra dollars.

I remember in '89 and '90 when I was finishing high school and bought these for the first time (before liquidating in college). I think that they were $30-$40 bucks. The '90 set had the Nolan Ryan cards at the beginning of the set which were similar to the '86 Rose and '73 Aaron. It was a really ugly issue but it had Frank Thomas and Griffey's first regular issue Topps card, so it was only a matter of time until it rose to Wagner/Mantle/Lajoie levels.

Anyway, In the very rare instance that someone is in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Columbus, Northern New Jersey, or a few others that I might be travelling to in the near future, and has an extra '86 set, and needs '89 & '90, I would be very happy to trade.

Otherwise, I will waste time and energy on this quest versus just going to the local shop, spending $15 on the '86 set (less than gas to travel to make the trade), and get it over with.

Take Care!
