As far the holes, not sure. Everyone I know refers to them as something to the effect of "that shot-up set". Pins are a viable guess. That could explain why the Cobb has all that paper loss, as if someone yanked it off a wall. The browning around the hole might suggest rusting. However, target practice is just so much more romantic
