That is an incredible price. About the highest I have seen for a RPPC other than negro league. Richard Merkin would have been ecstatic. Im happy for his wife Heather. He is perhaps my all-time favorite hobbyist and was one of my closest friends during the old days when we both lived in Manhattan. Everyone who knew him has a great Merkin story. Now THAT would be a great thread. Favorite Merkin stories.
