Your '34 Goudey Gehrig purchase was fine and in line with current sales assuming you paid just a little less than the listed price. Except for the bottom border it's really nice. The fact that the bit of paper damage is mostly confined outside of the photo (in the border) makes it a nicer pick up than if the picture had issues itself. Cards slanting in their holder is fairly common.
