Pete, quite a few people have referenced the card and assigned grade not matching, so I'll explain why they don't match up.
When SGC previewed their new flip design on their homepage, the card they used to demonstrate how it would look was a 1968 Topps Nolan Ryan. The entire card was not visible in the preview (which included three cards in total, including an example of what the AUTH flip would look like). So, I went to Google, then Ebay, and found an SGC-graded 1968 Topps that was graphically clean enough to use in mock ups. This is the one I selected:
I then re-sized the example of their new flip, and superimposed it on top of the old flip. Then, I added a green border around it:
Joe then took this mockup, shrank the lines and SGC lettering down, and inverted the green and white to come up with the final design.
