Default FS: First Yankees Scorecard To Feature Mickey Mantle In Lineup At Yankee Stadium

Exceedingly scarce Mantle item. While he played his first major league game on April 17, 1951, he first appeared in a program for the Yankees four days earlier on April 13...the first of a three game set of exhibition games between the Yankees and Dodgers that were played at Yankee Stadium and Ebbets Field. Mantle is listed in the scorecard as batting third and wearing number 6. The scorecard is a 1950 scorecard, but it was common practice for team to use up the prior year inventory of scorecards during exhibition games.

Also included is the ticket to the game. This is stapled to the cover of the scorecard.
