Welcome to the forum, Rick. My name is Bill. It's very nice to meet you. I truly think you're going to love it here. You won't find a friendlier, more knowledgeable group of hobby enthusiasts anywhere.
If I may make a suggestion to help you get started, the best way to begin finding answers to the questions you will undoubtedly have is to familiarize yourself with the forum's search function. There's a veritable treasure trove of knowledge tucked away within Net 54's past discussions. So, if you're wanting to learn about a specific pre-war set, for example, you should be able to find a good deal of pertinent information rather quickly. I've also found that using Google is invaluable when you want to go back a little further in the site's history.
If you're not able to find what you're looking for, please don't hesitate to ask for help. I, for one, do not have the breadth of knowledge that the majority of our forum members do, but I've worked diligently to learn about this niche of the hobby since joining a year and a half ago, and I'm always happy to help. I'm usually on later at night, but if you don't see me on, please feel free to send me a message, and I'll answer you as soon as I log in.
Here are three Pirate Hall of Famers, one for each of Pittsburgh's three rivers, to help you feel right at home.
All my best,
Bill
