Well, for me, a card's value really doesn't factor into how much I like it. Some of the cards I love most didn't cost me more than $30 or $40. And some of them were gifted to me, like my first T202 below from Pete, and my 1933 Goudey Al Simmons from Kenny. Those mean more to me than any $40,000 card ever could because of the kindness associated with them. It doesn't mean I won't buy and enjoy expensive pre-war cards, because some of the cards I really want are quite costly. But cost alone never factors into what I buy. A card either speaks to me, or it doesn't. A rare Babe Ruth rookie might go for several hundred thousand dollars. But I'd rather have a 1933 Goudey Ruth, or an Exhibits Ruth any day of the week. Besides, all my expensive cards are modern, so I'm not going to post them here, anyway. Thankfully, however, it looks like I'm back in pretty good health, all my bills are paid, and my savings are back to where I want them. So, I can start buying the cards I really want again. I'm footloose and fancy free.

For now, here are my favorite cards. I couldn't just pick 5. Sorry.
