I think your observation was definitely fair...no big deal to bring it up. It's weird because sometimes these types of observations will come up no matter if you have ill intent or not. I've never thought about it before, but you are right, I cannot remember seeing many African American card collectors at shows or in general...weird if you think about it. I believe the 5% range is about right (someone mentioned it a few posts back).
All in all, it doesn't matter your ethnicity or human makeup, but it was an interesting observation.
