Thanks so much for the great discussion. I honestly never heard of (George Musso or George Christensen) so I'm going to go back and do some more research. I think I can give them a pass on Don Hutson since I would guess he wasn't well known when the set was printed, but it would have been really interesting if he were in this set. Might his card have been worth more than Nagurski? Mel Hein jumped out at me because he is in the top 100 video from NFL films. I really have an interest in running backs particularly pre Jim Brown. The progression from Battles -> Hinkle -> Van Buren -> Perry - the fact two of them have their 1st cards in this set is awesome to me, Hinkle being shown as a kicker was a bit of a head scratcher - but it makes sense - the rosters were small, guys went both ways - there probably wasn't a specialized kicker carried on a roster till much later.
