As we learned earlier in the thread, it's all luck. The Cardinals are the luckiest team going. They never have any bad breaks. They went from 1987 until 2004 without appearing in a WS, that's 17 years. IN 1985 they lost their leadoff hitter and NL Rookie of the Year Vince Coleman for the WS when a tarp rolled up on his ankle and he suffered some sort of ligament damage. Then in Game 6 of that series they were the recipients of a call at First Base that was every bit as bad as the "infield fly" call last year which most likely cost them the Series.
In the last 30 years they have been in the WS six times and are 3-3, must not of had much luck half the time.
Cry me a river. Go make your own luck. That's my rant.
