I have long been a fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers because of their unique connection to their community. And one of my all-time favorite cards is Campy's 1953 Bowman Color issue. Seeing him young and strong makes me smile. He was a hell of a ballplayer.
But Greg, I especially wanted to comment on your Eddie Collins. First of all, it's just beautiful. The color is incredible, especially when you consider this card has been around for a century. It's nicely centered, and has nice edges and corners. It appears a little undergraded from what I can see.
Besides the T206 set, which I'm working on slowly, and the pre-war/vintage cards I want to add, I have been mulling over a personal collection of one pre-war Hall of Famer, and I think Cocky might just fit the bill. There's no shortage of Eddie Collins cards, and they remain relatively affordable. I like that he has a T206, multiple T205 cards, lots of candy cards, and is also included in the iconic Cracker Jack set.
Hopefully before long I'll be able to share a few Eddies of my own.
