Believe the man to Claxton's left is "Doc" Hamilton who owned the PNW's equivalent of the Harlem Club in Seattle, Doc Hamilton's Barbeque Pit. Claxton also pitched for Doc Hamilton's Queen City All-Stars (Seattle) in 1923.


This why I love this site! I live in Puyallup and was aware of the Claxton Tacoma history but had never heard of the Puyallup Homestead Giants. Is that an original image?
