Default CARL YASTRZEMSKI 1977 Player Contract Fully Executed w/Extra

Uniform Player Contract (Standard 6 page fold out AL Contract) of Carl Yastrzemski to play for the Red Sox during the 1977 season for a salary of $175,000. This is probably the Red Sox team copy as it also includes a three page Xerox copy of separate correspondence (Red Sox letterhead) to Yaz concerning his participation in various PR events for the Red Sox in the off season for $30,000 additional to the contract. There is a draft page, and the copy actually sent to Yaz and returned with his signature.

The contract is all original, the extra sheets are just copies. The contract is signed twice by Yaz and Richard O'Connell, Sox GM at the time, and once by Lee MacPhail as AL Commissioner.

Note the contract was signed very close to Opening Day, and you can see from the scan of the Lakeland Times that Yaz mentions this fact in a mid-season article.

I've only seen three other Yaz contracts ever offered for sale in over 10 years, the last going for $8250 in the 2012 REA Auction.

Asking $7500 delivered for this one. Hate to sell but have some unexpected expenses pop up.
