Stan is not wearing number 6 for the Cardinals so that has lead many to speculate it is either an early spring training photo from 41-42 or a shot of him in his minor league Rochester Redwings uniform where he played in 1941.
While I can't help with identifying what year or who issued this I do know the original photo was taken by William C. Greene of The New York World-Telegram and copyrighted in 1942.
