Default More Beer Sold at Miller Park When Brewers Lose

If the title of this post is correct (I have no evidence), then beer revenue could be approaching a new high.

However the current Brew Crew seems to be reviving one of the most exciting plays in baseball that happens somewhere almost on a daily basis - the triple.

On a pace to hit over 60 three baggers this year (this hasn't happened in awhile), the Brewers, led by Jean Segura and Carlos "Go-Go" Gomez, have found a way to make losing a little more exciting.

Home runs are a dime a dozen, a long fly ball, a dejected pitcher and some overpaid juiced gym rat trotting around the bases, and a crowd of screaming lemmings (if it happens to be the home team),

but with the triple, the batter actually has to run, the outfielder has to play the caroms in the corners or the gaps, the cutoff man has to be accurate, the pitcher has to back up third base and the third base umpire better be awake, and if the bases are loaded it's a frigging merry-go-round.

I'm sure that I'm preaching to the choir of deadball freaks ranting about triples, and although Chief Wilson isn't rolling over in his grave yet, he may be beginning to twitch.

Disclaimer: The title of this post was selected merely to attract the couch potato crowd and not to reveal anything about the content of the thread.

PS - The Brewers didn't lose last night, but they did hit two more triples.
