We had Barney at our Sports Scoop magazine table for the 1973 Midwest Sports Collectors Convention (when Lloyd and Carol Torpe, Frank Nagy and others ran one of the nation's very best shows). Barney was in great shape then and stood about 6'1" and 180 pounds - which is what the folks at baseball-reference.com have him listed.
I bet Barney was an incredible guest. The Torpe's were great people! My 1st Midwest Sports Collectors Convention was '79 or '80 and my 1st National was 1981 in Plymouth. Those were some great shows.
