Hi all...I'm only about 10-15 minutes outside of (financially strapped) Scranton! The Scranton area is very rich with baseball history. My great uncle (Paul Foytack) grew up in Scranton and went on to pitch for the Tigers and Angels. I don't live very far from where Hughie Jennings is buried. 'Big' Ed Walsh was from Pittston, PA, which is only about 10 minutes from Scranton, as well.
All in all, Scranton has a great baseball history!
