I'm a set collector by nature and if it wasn't for the cost, I'm sure I'd prefer collecting everycard in my favorite sets.
I did start a pre-war type collection a little almost 2 years ago. I trick myself into thinking it is a set by aiming for 100 different types, although I have more than one example of some of my favorite sets..........So that probably loosely fits your description of top ten collector.
At the end of the day, if a card in my collection doesn't fit within some set or subset I've defined no matter how loosely, then it has to go.... it's just the way I am
