I'm wiling to accept that he wants a high dollar for the card and that we may not reach a deal but that doesn't mean it's worth what he is asking. The argument he made was that it is worth his asking price.
The only thing I did was to try to rationalize that my price is closer to where others agree the value of the card would be.

The value of the card is exactly what the highest bidder will pay for it. No formula will answer that question.
