This is true.
I have seen interviews with Wilt in which he talked about thousands of people coming up to him in the decades since that game and telling him they were there. Some people even went so far as to tell him they were there for that game and it occurred at Madison Square Garden or the Philadelphia Sports Arena.
I know such a ticket will sell way above my price range, but that would be such a cool item becuase I live an hour from Hershey, Pa. The town itself has a historical sign commemorating the game. Both the old Hersheypark Arena and the adjacent Giant Center where the minor league Hershey Bears now play their games have signs/plaques in the arena talking about "On this spot in 1962..."
