I used to live in the Bay Area in the seventies. We'd go to Oakland/Alameda when the Yankees were in town. The three years the Athletics were in the World Series -- -- 72, 73, 74 -- anyone could walk up to the ticket office at gametime and easily score quite nice tickets.
