I agree with you, and I like the way you compare them to "snowflakes"

because it's a great comparison.
I think the deeper you get into collecting T206's, you eventually start looking for cards that have something different about them, for example, slight color shifts, miscuts, diamond cuts, missing color pass, etc. After this, you start checking out scraps, blank backs, etc. . and then you begin to realize how unique and rare some of these "snowflakes" really are.
I wish I could afford these cards, as I would be giving you and Chris and Jamie some competition

This is a dream lot for sure (for me it would be). These cards were never supposed to make it out of the ALC's dumpster. But they did. And to be here 100+ years later is a miracle !!!!!
