Interesting... that sure appears to be Tony Perez, but there is absolutely no record of him ever wearing the number 17. I checked numerous sources, and came up empty.
Also, Perez' first Major League exposure was in 1964. Same for Bill McCool (who is also identified in the photo). So is there any chance that the team pictured is a Minor League Reds affiliate (and not the Major League Team?)
Eager to hear what team this actually is, if someone here can shed some additional light.
