Up for sale we have a very large album page signed boldly by Hank Greenberg. The autograph has been slabbed and certified by PSA/DNA...
The thing that I find to be most intriguing about this piece is what lies on the reverse: an autograph of former Redsox Pitcher Hy Vandenburg. Hy pitched one season in the AL (1935) and in that season he made 3 appearances. one of these appearances was against th detroit tigers in a 6-1 loss... Hy made it through an inning gave up 4 hits and allowed 2 earned balooning his era to 63.00. Hank hit a homerun that day but it came earlier against Rube Walberg...
The game date was 6/13/35, I believe this signature is likely from the year, and most likely from that date... all in all a wonderful signature that tells a story...
