Hi Danny,
I think thats how Beckett did the old labels. 7s, 8s, and 9s would get special colors. They also got 4 subgrades on the label either on the front or back. But I believe the newer labels are all white no matter the grade, and no subgrades. You'll notice some of the 7s are white labels in the pictures, so I believe those are (somewhat) newer.
