Interesting mention of the Van Oeyens, because the first auction lot I remember buying and really wondering/worrying what the heck I had just done was a collection of 12 press passes issued by the Cleveland team to Van Oeyen. They were part of the Halper sale that was online only, and I can vividly remember sitting at work, repeatedly clicking on the "bid" button until I was the higher bidder and the auction ended. At the time it was the most money I ever had spent on an auction lot. I can't tell you how many times since then I've thought how fortunate that on that night I bid first and asked questions later and
didn't
let it get away, because this was a group of which there was only one.
