Fury, The story of a horse and the boy who loved him.
Let's go way back to the late 50's. Jim Newton hires a drifter to help out on the ranch. Nephew, Joey and his buddy Packy recognize him from a baseball card. (I remember that it resembled a 1958 Topps.) The drifter has dropped out of society due to remorse after killing a batter with a wild pitch. The boys can't say anything about baseball because they are afraid the former pitcher will have an emotional upheaval. Unfortunately, the first thing that Packy excitedly says to him is, "Can you teach us to throw a curve ball?" Doh!
"Why would you ask me that?"
"Uh, um, um, because all adults know how to throw a curve ball."
That's all I can remember. How come I can remember crap like that and forget to pick up bread and milk on the way home?
