While I am pretty certain Ed's note was tongue-in-cheek to point out that lame eBay seller's description, it is a valid point to ponder...

I assume collectors in J.Burdick's days didn't have toploaders, penny sleeves or screwdowns.

I recall getting a binder for my cards in 1974, with cheesy plastic sheets in it. The binder was great for this 12 year old, except it didn't hold enough of my budding card collection...I still needed the Keds or Converse boxes.
The binder had team logos all over, so it was associated with MLB in some manner. i don't remember any card supplies or protection prior to that year.

Anyone else have supply history memories?
