Jason- a little sidebar regarding that print: it was not uncommon in the 1860's for gamblers to be roaming the sidelines of a baseball game. One of the reasons that amateur baseball failed is that the gamblers could actually influence the outcome of games, and fans didn't really trust what they were watching. And gamblers often fought with each other too, right in front of the spectators. A baseball match in 1865 was a real rough and tumble affair!
