Today, my oldest daughter, Doctor Whitney B. Hunt (a Pediatrician), her husband & my son-in-law Proffessor Matthew Hunt and I explained to our 4 year old grand-daughter Avery about her Nana being in Heaven with God.
It was difficult as she does not understand it all.
Avery played dollhouse with my Mom (her Memere) and I (her Papa), but a few minutes later she wanted her Mommy and was crying because her Nana (Becky) was not here in the house. She was sad, but she told us all she loved us and asked why Nana was not here. She reasoned that Nana should be here because we loved her. Avery cried and had to be consoled.
An hour later Avery was playing with us again, making the top floor of the doll house "Heaven" where she hung Nana's picture up.
If this doesn't make any one sad, nothing will.
