Default c.1850 Portrait of a Woman Holding a Music Book

This is an exceptional, American, c.1850 portrait of a woman holding a music book. It is very rare to find (i) such an attractive lady, (ii) a music book being held (most held a Bible), and (iii) that she is in her original gilt frame. Asking $1800. The work is incredibly vibrant. I paid for professional cleaning from the Sothebys restorer, who also repaired a few small patches, as he does Picassos, Klimts, etc. You will be hard pressed to find such a beautiful mid-19th century portrait again. Any questions, please feel free to PM. Oil on canvas, 29 1/2 x 25 inches.

Best regards,
Jon
