It is a good resource but not completely sufficient for a couple of reasons:

1. It only shows prices for graded cards so if you are purchasing raw ones, you need to adjust accordingly

2. For really old cards there often are not an adequate number of transactions to have any confidence in the number(s)

Regardless, it's an excellent resource. When someone is selling a graded card, you can also often track down the price they paid for it when they purchased it which makes things interesting ;-)
