My Dollar Box Find ('67 Bolin White Streak)

Didn't even know for sure I had the right variation but took a chance for a dollar. Sure enough the white streak is what I wanted and I got it. Still not sure what it's worth in VG-VGEX but I think...

Top left

My guess is top left "touched up" blue. The wear on that corner there should be white showing. If this card was grade-able it likely would have been done so. My suspicion is that someone got it...

1949 Bowman #24 Stan Musial SGC 3 VG *Centered Both Ways*, $sold

2nd year card, I don't see a crease, just rounded corners. The centering is very nice (both ways) as you can. Nice clean back. $sold (helps cover paypal fees/insured shipping) = sold

Gray Backs vs. White Backs (& Pop Reports)

From my many years in the hobby, and I'm thinking of '56 in particular, the gray vs. white back difference didn't mean much, perhaps a very slight 10% or so premium for the rarer of the back.

Drop Off

I'd say there is a pretty big drop off from 74-80, and pre-74 obviously the semi-high and high numbers can bring some bang for the buck.

1. Harkens back to a golden era
2. Cards were collectibles then, a fun thing to own for a kid
3. A couple main brands but not too many (Bowman, Topps, a few oddball)

On the very high end, yes of course. For the average collector say $100 to $1000 card I think the average sales price if only a couple hundred dollar less for SGC is almost counterbalanced with...
