T206 newspaper ad for sale
Posted By: <b>Mark</b><p>I have available a well preserved issue of the New Orleans Daily Picayune dated September 16, 1909. On page five, in the upper right hand corner, is a large advertisement for Hindu Cigarettes. It measures approximately 9.5 by 11 inches.<br /><br />In the ad it is stated that two pictures of noted baseball players can be found in every pack. It is also stated there are 150 cards in the series, and that the pictures are "beautifully lithographed in color". There is an illustration of a pack of Hindu Cigarettes with cards of Waddell and Dooin sticking out the top. <br /><br />On the sports page is a story about Ted Breitenstein of New Orleans pitching a no-hitter against the team from Montgomery. A photo of Breitenstein is included.<br /><br />Price is $90 delivered. Because this is a full newspaper in excellent condition, I will not risk damage by scanning it. If the buyer is not satisfied I will, of course, give a full refund, provided the newspaper is returned undamaged.
