Wanted T212 Obaks Vancouver and Victoria

Posted By: Brian Lindholme
Max, I recently had a 18Ct lot of OBAKS up for sale, unsold, so I thought I would check through and see if there were any Vancouvers or Victorias in there...alas, the only one is Brown ! I guess you have him covered, so perhaps you could list the Canadian BORN players you seek and I'll match up with the rest of the Obaks I still have. Maybe I can help! (I could consider breaking up this lot as others have shown interest in particular cards)

I don't have Ten Million (there has GOT to be a story behind that name...)

Thanks
Brian L
familytoad

Wanted T212 Obaks Vancouver and Victoria

Posted By: Richard
Max, sorry to post something unrelated to your actual hunt, but I recall when I was living in Nanaimo and the CBL had started up, either the National Post or the Globe & Mail ran an article about baseball on the West Coast.

The article showed a picture of the 'Ten Million' card, and explained that his parents were a bit eccentric, and named him 'Ten' because at the time 10M was an insanely large number. To take it one step further his sister (younger, I believe) went by Dixie, which was short for 'Decillion' (10^33).

I'd post a link to the actual article, but I can't find it.

Richard.
