SGC Grading Question
Posted By: Scott L
If you pay for a card to be graded and it comes back altered are you supposed to get a voucher for another grading fee? I did not have it encapsulated as authentic. I thought you were but I wasn't sure.

Thanks.

Scott

SGC Grading Question
Posted By: Matt
Hey Scott - no voucher, but if you want it encapsulated as Authentic, send it in with your next order and they'll do it for free. You're mostly paying for them to evaluate the card, so it wouldn't make sense for them to give a voucher for free grading just because the card was altered - they still spent the time to look.

My Trade/Sale Page

SGC Grading Question
Posted By: bigfish
Scott,

This has happened to me in the past and I have not received a voucher. Did not really expect one though. It is a risk you take when you submitt a card and are paying for their service. That is just my opinion.

SGC Grading Question
Posted By: Brian
Hi Scott,

If a card cannot be graded due to some type of alteration, you will not receive a credit for the grading fee. We will, however, issue vouchers for cards that are miscut, do not meet the minimum size requirement, or are from an issue that we will not grade.

If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.

Thank you,

Brian Dwyer
SGC
1-800-742-9212 x114
